Remember the 2012 Seralini study of GMO corn being fed to lab mice which resulted in mammoth tumors?
Well, the law firm that is representing Seralini against Monsanto (Baum, Hedlund, Aristei & Goldman) has been able to release, publicly, the emails and documents that prove that Monsanto’s own executives, lodged a smear campaign against him, to discredit him at any cost. The documents show that they coerced other scientists to write papers demanding a retraction, because they didn’t like the type of methodology used.
Let’s get real folks, they fed a mouse genetically modified corn only, and it became disfigured with cancerous tumors. You don’t need to be a mathematician to figure this out.
After Monsanto lodged the attack to discredit Seralini, the Journal of Food and Chemical Toxicology, where his paper was 1st published in September 2012 pulled his study, and completed an investigation where they found no evidence of fraud, misconduct or gross error, but under heavy pressure from industry and their lackeys, they retracted the study anyway citing the guidelines from the Committee on Public Ethics(COPE) as their reason, but their guidelines state nothing that to retract an article, one of 3 things must occur, there must be fraud, misconduct or gross error, and they had already concluded that none of these occurred.
The law firm that has filed motion against Monsanto, were able to get email exchanges from Monsanto executives, where they show at least one of these shill scientists asking Monsanto executives to provide the ammunition. But even better, one of Monsanto’s own executives, by the name of Donna Farmer, who is a lead toxicologist for Monsanto is quoted in one of the documents as stating the following:
“The terms glyphosate and round up cannot be used interchangeably nor can you use “Roundup” for all glyphosate-based herbicides anymore. For example, you cannot say that round up is not a carcinogen… We have not done the necessary testing to make that determination.”
They are disputing that they cause cancer, but their lead toxicologist admits that they have never done the testing required to identify if it is or is not. Think about that!
But that doesn’t stop them from trying to discredit everybody who has been identifying the issues with GMOs and glyphosate.
Monsanto had until June 30 of 2017 to file a motion to maintain protection of the documents from the public viewing, but in being cocky, they dismissed the plaintiff and their attorneys, and refuse to even talk to them about it. Well, it just cost them big-time!
You can see that some of the references that will be listed below, with the exception of the law firm, are trying to spin this to take the harm out of it, but there’s just no way that they can.
While they are disputing the science of this Seralini, he has 70 peer-reviewed and published papers in journals dating back to 1987, and several since this incident in 2012. In fact, the last published science from Seralini, was just published last year.
The only ones that are dismissing him, are Monsanto and their flunkies. But, their now public, email exchanges, prove that they were behind an organized effort to discredit him at any cost.
**Extra Note: in the time that it took me to write this article, the number of published studies and science from Seralini as listed on the pub med database dropped from 70 to 68. I’m not sure if it is just a glitch in the pub med system or if 2 of his articles have been removed.
